whiplash from car accident

I was involved in a car accident on July 25, 1997.  I was driving a brand new Suzuki Swift, was stopped in traffic and rear-ended by a Pontiac Sunfire.  I was pushed forward into the Jeep Cherokee stopped in front of me.  My car was written off as a total loss. 

Initially, the extent of my injuries appeared to be stiff and sore muscles, including my neck and back.  But as time went on, my condition seemed to worsen.  I could not concentrate or focus on my work, the neck and back pain was relentless, and I was having trouble remembering the simplest of things.  Six months after my accident, I was rear-ended again when stopped at a stoplight.  The accident was relatively minor, but aggravated my condition.  I became depressed, cried a lot, lost weight, and felt like my life was spinning out of control.  The frustration of living in constant pain and being unable to do all the things I wanted and used to do was getting the best of me.  I felt as if I had aged years since the accidents.

I was having all the traditional treatments, seeing my doctor regularly, going for physiotherapy and massage, tried wearing some magnets, and was taking multiple drugs for depression and pain.  However, relief was only temporary at best, and my symptoms would return.  In December 1999, my husband and myself were introduced to Linda Leeson and the Onsen Technique® at a local home-based business monthly meeting.  I went for a consultation and for the first time thought maybe there was hope for me yet!  After my first treatment with Linda, the improvement was incredible.  I felt so light on my feet, like walking was so effortless, and best of all painless.  Having had only three or four hours of treatments, I was able to ride in a car to Saskatchewan for Christmas.  Linda had given my husband instructions of what to do if I needed "a fix", and therefore I really enjoyed our holiday.  Subsequent treatments have continued to improve my condition so much that I now know I will get my life back.  It is so wonderful to feel close to what I remember normal to be. 

I highly recommend the Onsen Technique® for anyone suffering from chronic pain. I have referred Linda to everyone I know. My family and two of my co-workers who have seen Linda call her "The Miracle Lady".  For the first time since my accidents, I am excited about my future.

Fran Pelletier
Soft Tissue Injury at work

My name is Fran Pelletier, I hurt myself at work 6 years ago. I had sustained a neck and shoulder injury. W.C.B. wrote me off after 6 months saying it was soft tissue and that I was fine but that was not the case.  For another 5 ½ years I lived with extreme pain and headaches, was not able to move my neck and shoulder. So hence could not work. My whole life vanished in front of me. I have been to numerous doctors, and had numerous tests done and got the same answer. We don't know exactly what you have done so take this medication. 

Then a friend told me about Linda and what she has done for him. Because I have tried everything else and was ready to give up the idea that I was ever going to live pain free and have my life back, I decided to try it. Onsen has given me my life back. She not only figured out what was wrong, she was able to help me. After the second treatment I was able to pick cherries and could shampoo my hair in the shower. This doesn't sound like much but trust me, these were only some of the little things that I could no longer do. I am now living my pain free life and I am looking for a job. I cannot thank Linda enough.

double scoliosis & migraine headaches

Since August 1999 to October 1999, Linda Leeson has given me three 2.5 hour Onsen® treatments.  I have suffered Chronic back pain for the last 5 years & migraine headaches since the age of 12.  I was diagnosed with double scoliosis. I have seen several chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Acupuncturists over the years and haven't had any relief. After the 2nd treatment, I felt a noticeable improvement. Several weeks of no back pain or spasm and no migraines. It has been months since the last treatment with still no back pain or spasm and best of all - no migraine headaches. I would recommend this treatment to anybody who has suffered chronic pain.

Shirley Anderson
pinched nerve

A pinched nerve made my life miserable for several weeks.  Unable to lay on my side or even roll over, I had many sleepless nights.  A physiotherapist did a good job of taking away the pain and restoring my movements, however I still had trouble with my feet.  My two largest toes were very sensitive and red.  They itched fiercely and had very sensitive tips.  This affected my walking and sleep.

After five sessions with Linda at Zeemans Early Recovery using the Onsen Technique®, I feel that she has realigned my structure.  The redness & itching has disappeared.  I now feel that I walk straight.  Thanks Linda!

fractured sacrum in three places

In 2005 I fractured my sacrum in three places. I was in constant pain sitting, standing and laying down. I did not have much movement at all from my armpits to my crotch.

Over the next year or so with Doctors, physical therapy and sports rehabilitation there was some value although I could not feel some of my muscles and therefore the stretches and exercises were of varying results. In hindsight, I feel that perhaps physical therapy should occur after the muscle tissues and alignment issues have been dealt with. The general consensus of the medical professionals that I dealt with seemed to be: “there is nothing we can do for you”, and “this is as good as it gets”. I wanted to get better. I wanted help.

In 2007 I came in contact with an Onsen Therapist in Cold Lake, Rhonda Sidoryk. After a few sessions I began to see results. September 2007 I returned to work able only to complete 26% of the job requirements – my disability insurance ended and I was let go. I was approached about applying for long term disability, this made no sense to me when I was getting results from Onsen Treatments and if I continued with it – I would get better.

I persevered with getting better. I continued seeing Rhonda sporadically, as often as I could afford to go, over the next 9 months. Presently 2009, I have full mobility and no pain. I am active and my strength continues to improve.

I am not saying that Onsen is a cure-all miracle. You do not simply show up and BE better. The results may vary for each person. I diligently followed the recommendations of rest, ice, heat, stretches or exercises while the practitioner continued to correct imbalances, scar tissue etc.

Rhonda even released what I had thought to be a life-long condition of pain and restriction in my neck; that I had lived with since an accident in 1992.

I would not hesitate to recommend a person who suffers from a sore body to at least visit a few times with an Onsen Therapist. If it can result in more mobility and less pain – wouldn’t that be worth it?

Life is too short to trade it up for pain!!
